Acts Available for Booking

Damnation

To be a sinner is to be damned. Bringing all the damnation, this act is a saucy mix of classic burlesque and fun that would bring anyone straight into the depths of Hell just for a taste. This act is a delicious mix of the classic strut and strip style with boa work and salsa, performed to Squirrel Nut Zippers “Hell” (03:13). This act was inspired by and is dedicated to my late Abuelita who was the first person to tell me that it was ok to take up space, to love every inch of myself, and be a bit devilish.

Peacock

This is a classic burlesque act set to “The Littlest Things” by Streetlight Manifesto. This act is a love song to my poor mental health, my never ending battle with imposter syndrome, and my issues with people pleasing. The costume is peacock inspired with varying shades of teal, green, and gold as peacocks are known to flash their feathers for mates, but also to scare off predators — seemed appropriate. The act is ostentatious and extravagant.

Black Widow

This is a classic strut and strip to Twin Temple’s “I’m Wicked” that embodies one of nature’s smallest femme fatales, the Black Widow spider. A slow and sensual act that incorporates wristlet boas and panel work.

Note: costume has had a few changes (panel skirt upgraded as well as corset)

Suggestion

This act is a classic strip tease, slow and sensual with chair work and floor work set to Fugazi's "Suggestion." I conceived of this act while listening to the song, and ruminating on its themes of rape culture, consent, and feminine sexuality. As a rape survivor two times over, it was burlesque that gave me back a few things that these assaults robbed me of: my femininity, my sensuality, and my sexuality. This act, while emotional for me, has been a labor of love, and has helped me move forward in the healing process of dealing with my traumas.

Seascape Window

This act was originally created for Chrysler Museum of Art’s event “Art Out Loud: Exposed” and is based on “Seascape Window” by Tiffany Studios, circa 1910. The act itself, a classic strut and strip, highlights the varying shades of gold, purple, orange, and pink in the stained glass window. This act is set to Enoch Light and His Orchestra’s “Too Young to Cha-Cha” and is an upbeat saucy act full of spins, shimmies, and tassel twirling.

Retroactive

This is a classic pose and peel style act with elements of salsa and LOTS of shimmies. Set to “Retroactive” by The Toasters, this act celebrates my love of ska music, while carrying the classic cupcake pin-up aesthetic.

*Note: this video is from 2017. Since this recording the act choreography has been polished and improved upon, and the costume has had a few upgrades (while maintaining the same aesthetic).

Asteria

This is a classic fan dance to Gene Krupa’s rendition of “Stardust.” This act was conceived of when thinking about the Goddess Asteria, deity of falling stars and nighttime divination. This act is meant to be beautiful and romantic, invoking the ethereal brilliance of the stars above.

Wavebreaker

This act is a classic strut & strip set to Mike Park's "I Couldn't Wait Out Through the Night" featuring Karina Denike. The act itself is inspired by the record on which it appears, Wavebreaker, which pairs together older ‘legendary’ third-wave ska artists from the 90’s with their 2020’s “nutone” counterparts. Like this record this act takes classic burlesque stylings and pairs it with an unlikely music genre. It’s an act that revels in the entwined nature of the self and individuality.
